Merchandise designed for tech audiences
Merchandise for tech audiences should be useful and consistent with the campaign. A useful object can extend a conversation beyond an event. We choose products, branding and distribution around the people you want to reach and the message you want to leave.

From idea to delivery
We assess usefulness, quality, budget and timing, prepare proposals and visuals, coordinate customisation and place the product within the campaign. Availability and delivery times are checked with suppliers for each project.
When MDF is involved
We check category, branding, spending limits and evidence before production. Merchandise, giveaways and incentives may follow different rules. Approval of a past project does not automatically make the same product eligible in a new program.
The tech merchandising process
1. Define use and distribution. Specify audience, occasion, quantity and budget. Event handout and shipping require different practical choices. 2. Assess product and customisation. Compare usefulness, logo legibility and production constraints. Brand files and approvals should be available before confirming production. 3. Agree production and timing. Work back from the date the items are needed. Quantity, changes and availability can affect delivery and should be settled before commitments to participants or partners. 4. Document delivery. Retain agreed materials describing execution. For MDF, check programme-specific evidence; cost and branding alone do not establish eligibility.
How do you choose merchandise for a tech audience?
Start with the occasion, recipient, usefulness and distribution. An item needs a reason to be kept as well as a suitable cost. Assess quantity, customisation, size and timing before selection so the product is practical for the campaign.
Can merchandise be funded through MDF?
Only where the applicable programme allows it and its conditions are met. Approval, spending limits, branding and evidence must be checked. Rules from one vendor cannot be assumed to apply to another, and not every promotional item is eligible.
What information is needed to scope the project?
Audience, indicative quantity, budget, distribution location and date, brand files and programme restrictions. Customisation and timing should be confirmed before production. The published MDF merchandising case describes one project, not a reimbursement or results promise for other clients.
